Upon scheduling your first appointment, our office will explain which medical records Dr. Vorse requests and send you a questionnaire about your pain or sleep problem.

Dr. Vorse's comprehensive approach to chronic pain management and sleep disorders begins with a review of all your medical records, a medical evaluation, which includes a complete medical history, a physical examination an appropriate testing. Her evaluation and treatment plan may include pharmacological management, diagnostic and/or therapeutic blocks and collaboration with other health care providers. The First Visit

A specialist interviews the patient for a detailed medical history.
A physical examination is performed.
Available x-ray studies and laboratory data are reviewed.
A treatment plan is presented.

Often, the course of treatment for pain problems will include symptom management and, perhaps, one or more nerve blocks to aid in identification of the source of pain or to interrupt the pain cycle. A nerve block can be performed during the first visit, if agreed upon by the patient and physician.
